Snipe Hunt prank ends with lion attack
February 14, 2011
On Sunday morning Seppuwa Falls Police arrived at the entrance of the Seppuwa Falls Zoo after responding to a 911 call reporting that a teenager broke into the zoo after hours. Once at the zoo officers saw the teenager, Freddy Renoir, was being chased across the Kilimanjaro Pen by Seppuwa’s own Lenny the lion. Mr. Renoir was pants-less.
The zoo has been holding its Valentines Day weekend mating tours a tour guide noticed the intruder and made the call.
The officers threw the teenager a rope to get out and once he did police arrested him for trespassing. However upon questioning they realized they should have added idiocy to his wrap sheet.
Turns out the sixteen year old was on a snipe hunt with his nine year old cousin. Prior to going Freddy also ingested LSD which led him to believe that the, “Lion was his father and he needed to confront him for not being there when he was in little league.”
Once face to face with Lenny, Renoir realized that he was not his father and defecated from the fear of knowing he was standing in front of a four hundred and forty pound male African lion as the lion was in the middle of mating.
In the police report the officers wrote that, “Mr. Renoir recounted how the smell of load he dropped in his pants seemed to anger the lion even more and as he ran he managed to take his pants off and throw his soiled pants at the Lion.”
A snipe hunt for those who are not familiar, is a fool’s errand. Mr. Renoir convinced his younger cousin that there was a snipe that the zoo was hiding and the only way to see and catch it was to sneak in at night.
Mr. Renoir was processed and released one of the officers said, “We have his pants in the evidence locker, he needs to come and pick it up it’s really stinking the place up.
